Peles Castle, Pelisor Castle: Peles Castle was King Carol I of Hohenzollern’s favorite residence. Built between 1873-1915, it distinguishes itself by its particular architecture, comparable to the most famous palaces in the world, it’s considered one of the most stunning castles in Europe. Bran Castle, Dracula’s Horror House, Gifts Market, Ethnographic Park: Located between Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountains, was imposed by strategic and economic reasons at the end of the XIV century as country border fortress. It was set in 1212 by Teutonic Knights, and documentary attested on 19 Nov. 1377 as Saxons stone citadel of Kronstadt (Brașov) area. Here Vlad Dracul (Dracula) stayed few years of his adventurous life. Between 1920-1947, as Royal Residence, the castle suffered a series of architectural renovations, lead by the Czech architect Karel Liman, who also worked for Pelisor Castle. Rasnov Medieval Citadel: It is an old peasant refuge fortress unique for its style and position attested from 1331. The fortress was built by the Teutonic Knights on a calcareous rock 150 m high. The outer walls are 5 m tall and the fountain inside is 98 m deep and took 15 years to dig. Entrance is made through a massively fortified tower, an outpost half-round Bastion provided with numerous firing outlets and arrow loops and with a wall-walk for the defenders. Poiana Brasov Mountain Resort: All seasons resort at 1030m altitude, well known as one of the best budget ski resort in Eastern Europe. The highest peak Postavarul is 1803m. Sighisoara, the Medieval Town, Draculas House: This gorgeous town with its history of thousands of years is the home of Saxons, Romanian and Hungarians. The beautiful middle age town of Sighisoara, built on a hill in Tarnava Valley, is the best preserved medieval old town with inhabitants in Central Europe, UNESCO protected town since 1999. On the settlement’s hill was built a castle in 1280 for the first time. In the XIV-XVI centuries under the castle were established masters concentrated in well organized crafts, who built a strong stone wall, 930 m long and 8-15m height with 14 watch-towers after each crafts. Clock Tower, the highest (64m), from 1556 house the City Hall on the first floor, and archives, security deposits and treasury as well. The clock mechanism, initially of wood, after the great fire of 1676 was replaced by a metal, have 7 wooden figurines -the weekday symbols and other 2 -day and night. WALLACHIA  DRACULA  TOUR   (11 hours)

Curtea de Arges: The first capital of Wallachia, the town of Curtea de Arges preserves two of the most important architectural monuments in southern Romania, from medieval age. The first is the ensemble Royal Court – XIIIth -XIVth century, which preserves the only original monument from XIVth century in Wallachia, namely the Royal Church. The second is the impressive Episcopal Church built by voivode Neagoe Basarab, between 1512 to 1517. (155km;10.00h-12.00h;10Lei)

Vidraru: Vidraru Lake (March 1966) is located on the Arges River, 10 km from Poienari fortress. Located between the mountains Frunti and Ghitu, the lake collects  water from the rivers surrounding it, with a total flow of about 5.5 cm/s. Total area of the lake is 393 ha, length of 10.3 kilometers and maximum width of 2.2 kilometers. Maximum water depth is 155 m near the dam wich is 166 m in hight and the water volume is 465 million cm. Dam construction took five years and a half. They drilled 42 km of underground galleries and were excavated 1.7 million cubic meters of rock, of which about 1 million underground, have poured 930,000 cubic meters of concrete, of which 400,000 cubic meters underground and were installed 6300 tonnes electromechanical equipment. Vidraru Dam was at the time of inauguration, the fifth in Europe and ninth in the world among similar buildings. (40km;13.00h-13.30h)

Poienari: At about 35 km north of Curtea de Arges, by the Arges river gorges, stands one of the most impressive fortresses in Romania, a real nest of eagles, located at more than 200 metres above the valley. At first a simple tower, built in the first half of the XIVth century, it’s extended and rebuilt by Vlad the Impaler with villains brought from prisons in Targoviste. (15km;14.00h-16.00h;10Lei)
